Ceramika MalDur has been created in Boleslawiec since 2020. The owner of the company is Malgorzata Durda. Despite being on the market for quite a short time, the company already gained its recognition - in 2021, MalDur ceramic products were presented at the Boleslawiec Ceramics Museum as part of the exhibition "From Boleslawiec clay - presentation of contemporary ceramic plants operating in the Boleslawiec Region". It was the first presentation prepared as part of the project "Poland and Norway on the European Ceramics Route: inclusion of Boleslawiec and Porsgrunn into the international cooperation network of cities with ceramic traditions." The partners of the event were the Norwegian Telemark Museum and the European Route of Ceramics, and its aim was to restore the historic Puckler Palace...
at Zgorzelecka Street 28-29 and its adaptation to the new seat of the Ceramics Museum in Boleslawiec. At the exhibition, Ceramika MalDur was presented among 30 other manufacturers that specialize in the production of ceramic tableware. Artistic Ceramics in Boleslawiec MalDur specializes in creating and designing functional and decorative ceramics. The company's goal is to stick to the tradition that Boleslawiec is famous for. MalDur dishes are made of Boleslawiec clay and are hand-painted. Decorations are mainly done by the stamping method. Hand-painted dishes remain durable. Fired at a very high temperature and then glazed, they become very resistant to damage. They can be safely used in ovens, microwaves and dishwashers. The decorations of MalDur ceramics are distinguished above all by characteristic flowery compositions. Decorations with sunflowers and cobalt poppies is especially popular among customers. The palette of colors that the brand uses to produce ceramics includes not only classic shades of blue, characteristic of the Boleslawiec tradition, but also vivid compositions full of green, orange and shades of red. Boleslawiec Ceramics at European exhibitions The exhibition where MalDur dishes were presented is a continuation of the idea of recurrent cross-sectional presentation of the achievements of local ceramic craftsmanship, initiated by the Museum of Ceramics with an exhibition organized in August 2016. In the following years it was presented in Italy: in Vietri-sul-Mare, Rome, Ancona and Faenza. Ceramika MalDur was presented next to manufacturers such as: Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec, Ceramika Artystyczna Ceramic Handicraft Cooperative, or Manufaktura in Boleslawiec.
